HIPAA Statement

HIPAA Security Standards have been developed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of individual health information. These standards are technology neutral and mandate safeguards for the protection of Protected Health Information (PHI).

Any health care provider, health care clearinghouse, or health plan that electronically maintains or transmits health information pertaining to an individual must be in compliance with these security standards. This rule was passed on February 23, 2003 and requires compliance by April 21, 2005. The technical portions of the security rules require that all information that is maintained within a computer system be treated confidentially.

Software, in and of itself, cannot make you compliant. However, software can be a compliance enabler. The UShealthrecord.com HIPAA task force has analyzed the HIPAA Security Regulation and conducted a detailed gap analysis between our products and the regulations. We have determined that our products meet all requirements of the security regulations. UShealthrecord.com will remain fully committed to compliance with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
