About Us
Our Story
The core philosophy that led to the founding of USHealthRecord is the same philosophy that drives the company to improve patient care through a comprehensive personal health record that lowers medical costs, provides physicians with a complete picture of a patient’s health history and empowers patients to better manage their health.
The vision and passion for USHealthRecord began more than 20 years ago. Drs. Richard Roblee and Scotty Bolding recognized that patient care could be improved through effective communication among physicians.
They began practicing their philosophy by working with other health care providers and giving every patient a simple black notebook with one demographic form, one health history form, and a discipline specific form for each provider the patient needed to see. Soon, this became a logistic nightmare. The pair found themselves with a room full of black notebooks and a full-time courier running the records from doctor to doctor.
A Better Solution
In 1995, Roblee and Bolding began building the first Web-based electronic personal health record. Moving to an electronic record not only provided a paperless system, it allowed for real-time access to patient medical records, which parlayed their original idea into a much better model and allowed the health care team to better diagnose and treat patients.
The USHealthRecord system is not just an electronic medical record, but it is a health record platform. It serves as a statewide or community-wide system that allows each patient to have only one electronic personal health record that is shared with doctors, hospitals, dentists, pharmacies, emergency rooms and other health care providers.
Our Philosophy
We believe patients receive better overall health care when there is strong communication between health care providers. This is very difficult to do unless each patient has one record that is shared among the health care team. Our platform is community based, which allows us to better monitor treatment outcomes for disease such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes. This is not available with paper records, and we believe this approach to utilizing technology will lead to finding cures to these diseases in the future.
Our Founders
Dr. Bolding serves as the chairman and CEO of USHealthRecord. He is a practicing oral and maxillofacial surgeon in northwest Arkansas and is very passionate about his role as a health care provider. He believes his success with USHealthRecord is largely due to his love for treating patients. He remains very active in his practice, but over that past year has been traveling extensively throughout the United States visiting with governors and governmental agencies educating them on the benefits of a statewide health record system.
Dr. Roblee serves as the company’s chief clinical officer and is instrumental in developing the philosophy of interdisciplinary care. He has lectured all over the world for many years teaching the importance of sharing health information in a team approach. He is a practicing orthodontist and remains very active with USHealthRecord in assisting the development team and the medical and dental advisory board in developing the latest technology. It is Dr. Roblee’s passion that patients always receive the highest quality care, and he and Dr Bolding are working very hard to develop a system that will assist patients and doctors in improving their lives.
